A laptop is a personal computer designed for mobile use small enough to sit on one's lap. It is important to distinguish a laptop from a desktop, notebook, nettop, and netbook. A laptop integrates most of the typical components of a desktop computer, including a display, a keyboard, a pointing device (a touchpad, also known as a trackpad, and/or a pointing stick), speakers, and often including a battery, into a single small and light unit. The rechargeable battery (if present) is charged from an AC adapter and typically stores enough energy to run the laptop for two to three hours in its initial state, depending on the configuration and power management of the computer.
Laptops are usually shaped like a large notebook with thicknesses between 0.7–1.5 inches (18–38 mm) and dimensions ranging from 10x8 inches (27x22cm, 13" display) to 15x11 inches (39x28cm, 17" display) and up. Modern laptops weigh 3 to 12 pounds (1.4 to 5.4 kg); older laptops were usually heavier. Most laptops are designed in the flip form factor to protect the screen and the keyboard when closed. Modern tablet laptops have a complex joint between the keyboard housing and the display, permitting the display panel to twist and then lay flat on the keyboard housing. They usually have a touchscreen display and some include handwriting recognition or graphics drawing capability.
Laptops were originally considered to be "a small niche market" and were thought suitable mostly for "specialized field applications" such as "the military, the Internal Revenue Service, accountants and sales representatives". But today, there are already more laptops than desktops in businesses, and laptops are becoming obligatory for student use and more popular for general use. In 2008 more laptops than desktops were sold in the US and it has been predicted that the same milestone will be reached in the worldwide market as soon as late 2009.

S-Vision es un diseño conceptual creado por el diseñador Felix Runde. Básicamente se trata de un teléfono móvil con un proyector LED incorporado. Está pensado para gente que necesite realizar presentaciones con cierta frecuencia.
En lugar de tener que depender de un proyector y de un ordenador portátil, bastaría con meter la presentación en el teléfono. Well, good thing there is always technology to assist us, although I find it rather ironic that the smartest bunch of people on earth create devices and new methods to make living a whole lot easier, dumbing down the general populace in the process with devices that require less and less brain power to operate. DSS Co Ltd. from Japan, however, offers something to make us more efficient. This Japanese firm edits and processes digital maps based on survey data, and have already begun a service of recording the actions of factory workers for long hours and visualize them.Of course, before it has enough data to play around with, it will require to mine such information, and mining will require the right tools. Some of the tools used for collecting the data include an ankle sensor that can be attached to the leg of a worker for recording his or her movement, while the other is a milestone that will see action throughout various places in the plant so that it is able to find out just how long workers remain in that area of the factory. Last but not least would be the small video camera that can be placed in the chest pocket of the worker to record his or her action(s). All of these will work together in tandem, where data of up to 30 workers can be collected at the same time. After three days’ worth of data, a special behavior analysis report can be yours for around two million yen (that is approximately $20,857), opening up your eyes to see just how many hours are spent by majority of the workers around the water cooler as they trade juicy company stories with one another. solar vest is probably not something you would wear if you’re even remotely worried about fashion. However, if you really just couldn’t possibly care any less, it would be useful. It is a solar vest, which would be blatantly obvious to anyone around you, purely due to the giant bold white lettering that states “SOLAR VEST”. That was kind of them to add that, just in case anyone should get confused.It has a total of four solar panels on the back of it, that are completely weather proof. So you won’t have to worry about dodging rain drops when you’re out wearing it. It also has 5V, 6V, 9V and 12-20V ouputs. It has light indicators to let you know how much of a charge is available, when the light is green it has more than 80% power built up, orange is between 30% and 70%. When I first saw the Warn PullzAll, I thought that it was another version of the Rescue Reel. It would appear that the PullzAll doesn’t look like it was made for rappelling down buildings, but it could be used that way. In fact, it could be used for climbing up things. As it is, the PullzAll can lift or pull 450 kg (1000 pounds) with a variable speed motor. According to the PullzAll web site, this is the ideal tool for anyone who needs something heavy moved such as “construction, pipe fitting, iron work, equipment and plant maintenance, farm and ranch use, auto shops, garages, machine shops, home improvement, hunting, camping, and more”. The PullzAll comes in AC or DC powered styles, and it has 4.5 meters (15 feet) of 7/32 inch steel cable with an integrated swiveling anchor hook. The DC version runs on a 24 volt NiCad battery, and the AC versions are in 110V and 230V. So if you’re tired of hauling heavy weight around, then this might be the product for you.
